We’ve put together this page to share information about our availability, tuition, and enrollment process, so you can feel informed, supported, and confident as you consider Sorrel & Cedar for your child.
Availability & Intake Windows
Sorrel & Cedar welcomes children in stable, seasonal cohorts, giving them a consistent group to learn and explore with while helping us provide thoughtful, sustainable care. Enrollment is open during specific intake windows rather than through a waitlist.
Intake windows:
- September start — inquiries open in July
- January start — inquiries open in November
Next anticipated availability: September 2028
Next enrollment window: Inquiries for September 2028 will open in July 2028.
Every now and then, a space becomes available mid-year due to a family’s changing plans. When it does, we post the opening through local networks or social media, so families know they can reach out even outside the usual intake periods.
Tuition
| Full Daily Rate | CWELCC Coverage | Parent Fee |
|---|---|---|
| $62/day | $40/day | $22/day |
What’s Included:
At Sorrel & Cedar, tuition is all-inclusive. This is a deliberate choice rooted in the belief that every child in our group deserves equal access to what they need to have a good day and that families shouldn’t have to carry extra weight just to make that happen.
- Meals & Snacks – A balanced vegetarian lunch and two snacks are made fresh each day. No packing required.
- Daily Essentials – Diapers, wipes, diaper cream, and sunscreen are provided for every child who needs them so that no family is quietly keeping track or running low.
- Children’s Yoga & Art – A children’s yoga instructor and a visiting art instructor are both part of our regular programming.
- Access to Storypark – Photos, observations, and learning moments from your child’s day shared privately and securely. A way to stay close to what’s happening, even when you’re apart.
Enrollment Process
Enrollment begins when families reach out during an open intake window (or when a mid-year availability is shared on social media). From there, we take time to get to know one another and move through a gradual, relationship-focused process to make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
1. Say Hello
Reach out by email or message during an open intake window, or anytime an availability is shared. This is simply a chance to let us know you’re interested and start the conversation.
2. Share a Bit About Your Family
If the timing and basic fit seem right, we’ll invite you to complete a short online form so we can learn more about your child and your family.
3. Visit the Space
You and your child are invited to come by outside of program hours to explore the space, ask questions, and get a feel for our approach and daily rhythm.
4. Next Steps
If we’re moving forward together, we’ll walk through enrollment forms and policies so everyone knows what to expect.
5. Settling In
We support a gradual transition into care, giving children time to build trust, feel secure, and settle in comfortably.
Scheduling Options
To support consistency and strong relationships, we offer enrollment on either a Monday–Friday or Monday–Thursday schedule. At this time, we’re not able to accommodate schedules with fewer days.
Questions?
You’re welcome to email natasha.ann.kocher@gmail.com or reach out through Instagram or Facebook. If it’s outside an intake window, we’ll let you know when to check back in.
